Terms of Service
Last updated October 28, 2026
The service
Chord is an early-stage AI assistant you use over text message. It helps you remember people, suggests plans, and, only with your explicit approval, sends messages on your behalf. It's a beta: features may change, and it may sometimes be wrong or unavailable.
Your responsibilities
- Only share contact details for people you know, and only ask Chord to message people who would reasonably expect to hear from you.
- Review every message Chord drafts before you approve it. You're responsible for messages sent with your approval.
- Don't use Chord to spam, harass, or mislead anyone, or for anything illegal.
AI suggestions
Chord's replies are generated by AI. Check important details like times, places and contact information yourself.
Messaging
Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop texts from Chord, START to resume, HELP for help. People Chord contacts on your behalf can opt out the same way, and Chord will not text them again.
Your data
How Chord handles your information is described in the Privacy Policy. You can delete your data by texting "delete everything".
No warranty and limits
Chord is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, Chord isn't liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
